This recipe came from the Family Circle magazine. It isn't the most healthy or gourmet recipe, but the whole family liked it and ate it well. It was also cheap!!
Ingredients:
1 pkg hot dogs
3 cans pork and beans (drained)
1/3 cup bbq sauce
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1 pkg corn bread mix (used Jiffy)
1/3 c. milk
1 egg
Directions:
Heat oven to 350. Coat 9x13 with cooking spray. Heat a large skillet over med-high heat. Add hot dogs and cook for 3 minutes on each side until nicely browned. Cut into 1/2 inch pieces.
In bowl, mix hot dogs, beans, bbq sauce, and brown sugar. Spoon into dish.
Prepare corn bread using package directions using milk and egg. Spread evenly on top of the hot dog mixture.
Bake 45 minutes until bubbly.
